The local Samburu and Maasai tribes are partners in the conservation area in which Loisaba tented camp and Starbeds are located. Your visit not only protects the environment but also pays for the education and welfare of locals living here. All profits generated by tourist activities in Loisaba are intended to preserve the 56,000-hectare private wilderness area, in addition to supporting community-oriented health, education and business programs beyond their borders with the neighbours Samburu and Laikipiak Maasai.
The Loisaba Community Conservation Foundation (LCCF) is an American foundation. It aims to help the area around the Loisaba Conservancy by encouraging community-run businesses and promoting the development of philanthropic community initiatives.
Loisaba is a member of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative that provides a lasting impact on the community you are traveling to. If you manage to save a few kilos in your suitcase, bring goods to local schools or medical clinics, you will make an invaluable impact on the lives of local children and families.
